A Knightsbridge House school for Japan

Where Your Brighter Future Begins

We are planning our first campus in Japan: an affordable, high-quality Cambridge international education in a tranquil corner of Akita — trilingual, small by design, and built around the whole child.

About the school

An exceptional education, within reach

Knightsbridge House (KBH) International School, originating from Singapore, offers an exceptional educational experience centred on holistic development, affordability, and personalised learning. Our mission is to nurture well-rounded, innovative global citizens by combining a strong academic foundation with character building, cultural awareness, and the essential competencies for success in today’s world.

Since our founding in 2021, KBH International School has grown rapidly — from just five students to over 1,000 today across our campuses, all with minimal marketing. Our success is driven by the trust and recommendations of satisfied parents.

Following strong demand at our Thailand campus, we intend to bring the same model to Japan. The planned campus in Semboku, Akita sits in a tranquil, picturesque setting — and we hope it will be the first of several in the country.

Where things stand

Our plans for Semboku

Knightsbridge House Japan is a planned school. The Semboku campus is not yet open and we are not currently accepting applications or enrolling students.

Establishing an international school in Japan depends on regulatory approvals, and we are working through that process now. We would rather say so plainly than publish a date we cannot stand behind.

What we can say: the intended location, the curriculum we would teach, and the fee level we are aiming for are all set out on this site. If that is of interest to your family, register your interest — we will write to you directly when there is something concrete to share, and those on the list will hear first.

“We strive to be the leader in affordable high-quality international education.”
